Have you seen anyone using these Yoke shackles in the regular construction industry? It does sound like one might be able to get proof test or at least CofC paperwork for them. That or I'd buy them through a rigging shop who can proof test them in-house. I bought a couple pairs myself to play around with and I think they look really good. However, for professional use, it's hard to get someone to consider shackles like these. It is also weird they rated them at 4:1 SF. They also don't publish whether or not they are OK for collecting slings, and if so, what is max sling angle.

Looks very promising. Seems Petzl has spotted the design flaws of the Eject and made something simpler, more akin to the pulleySaver and RopeGuide, but slimmer and possibly less likely to get stuck in the tree. And by the looks of it less expensive too. If the pulley is smooth enough, this might very well replace my pulleySaver.

I have been doing this for over forty years and I never needed 90% of this stuff. Knowing how to tie knots and using good rope goes a long way. I will give the new guys a tip. Sailors are some of the best riggers in the world ( They have been doing it for hundreds of years ) and they do it for cheep. That being said I played with ALL GEAR and X-Rigging Rings and they are good. I just think they are over priced and way to much hype. My advice is do what works for you, AKA do you, and be kind to others.
